Stigmas related to bulimia are physical or visible factors of bulimia. A person who has bulimia might have oral problem like enamel decay or other visible signs. They could isolate themselves because of what they are feeling which would be extremely noticeable. Because these individuals are probably feeling a sense of guilt, shame, pain, and have low self-esteem, they could physically harm themselves to relive the pain and would leave marks of their pain. For example, “cutting”, or teeth marks on the back of there hand from putting it in the mouth. These are all visible factors of bulimia. Which can make the person feel disgraced and a shamed of there actions.
